This is a relatively new experiment, so please see the following submission guidelines:
- Topics: We are open to research-based submissions from any sub-field or niche area of political science. We’re primarily interested in posts related to recently published peer-reviewed academic research articles and/or books. Submissions do not necessarily have to speak to current events, but they certainly can as well. Think of this as an opportunity to publicize your recent work in a condensed way for other political scientists, researchers, teachers, etc.
- Authors: We’re focusing on work from junior faculty and advanced graduate students. Our goal is to provide and build a platform that’s accessible to junior political scientists. We will consider material from more advanced faculty as well.
- Audience: We’re looking for posts that can speak to a mix of academic and non-academic audiences. Even other academics are not necessarily going to be well-versed in ideas, concepts, and terminologies used in particular sub-fields, so please keep that in mind when writing pitches and posts.
- Authors are primarily responsible for the content of their posts if accepted. We will provide some copy-editing.
If you have a question about submitting a blog post you can contact us at quantitativepeace@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
